All of our staff work as a team to provide you with the best possible service, whether it be a musical, play, fancy dress or advice on one of our other services displayed on our website.

Northern Costume Hire was established in 1984 in the rural town of Skipton, North Yorkshire. Beginning life as a fancy dress shop, it has grown into one of the largest theatrical costumiers in the country.
We provide costumes both for amateur and professional theatre, televisions, schools and colleges, and individual hire.

We despatch countrywide from Cornwall to Scotland and also Northern and Southern Ireland and the Isle of Man. As Barnoldswick is close to the motorway network, this makes delivery and collection of costumes very easy from all areas of the British Isles. Transport is charged by weight and not distance, thus making it very affordable no matter where in the country you are situated.

We enjoy an excellent reputation and provide good quality costumes and accessories at an affordable price. All costumes are cleaned on the premises after every hire, either in our laundry or in our industrial dry cleaning machine. We provide an in-house manufacturing service for "one-off" costumes and a whole range of accessories.
